2022-23 Term dates

Uniform list and regulations

In all matters of uniform, the final judgement rests with the school. All pupils in Years 7 to 11 are expected to wear the regulation uniform. This uniform is intended to be worn both to and from school as well as in school. When travelling to and from school, pupils still represent the school, so the highest uniform standards are required.

Items marked with a * are available from our uniform stockist Stevensons. Other items can be purchased elsewhere.

Compulsory items for Y7 and 11

  • LSU tartan kilt* – knee length or mid-calf only OR LSU green trousers*
  • Green V neck jumper* with house colours trim
  • LSU green blazer* with school badge (compulsory in Years 7 and 8)
  • White shirt or blouse
  • Flat plain black shoes (no logos and no canvas shoes)
  • Plain black tights or plain white socks
  • Dark green coat

Scarves, gloves and hats for winter must be plain dark green, black, white or grey.

For pupils who, for religious reasons, wish to cover their heads in school, the head covering should be plain dark green, black, white or grey and worn without any decoration.

Hair regulations

Hair should be kept neat and tidy. Unnatural colours for hair are not permitted. Long hair should be tied back with a plain hair tie.

PE kit

Compulsory items:

Black jogging pants* with LSU logo

Yellow polo shirt*

Green sweatshirt* with LSU logo

White socks

Trainers

Optional items:

Plain black PE skirt or shorts

Jewellery

A wristwatch may be worn at the owner’s risk. Smartwatches are not permitted. Small stud earrings (one per lobe) may be worn. No other piercings are allowed. No rings, chains or necklaces are allowed. Acrylic/false nails or nail varnish are not permitted. Discreet make-up is only permitted in Years 10 and 11.

Free School Meals

If you live in Camden and your daughter is already receiving free school meals, you must let Camden know that she will be starting LSU.

Your entitlement is not automatically transferred.

If you live in another borough, you must apply for free school meals in Camden. Your daughter will not receive free school meals unless the school receives authorisation from Camden that she is entitled to them.

The easiest way to apply is online. Please follow the link below:
