The Jack Petchey Award Scheme

The Jack Petchey Awards logo.

All staff and students have the chance to nominate and then vote for pupils to win an achievement award. The Achievement Award Scheme aims to enable schools, colleges and youth organisations to recognise, reward and celebrate the achievements of their young people. Achievement Awards are designed to recognise a wide range of achievement. It is not just about being clever, or gifted, but about putting the effort in, doing your best in all areas of school life.

The winner is congratulated for their achievement in an assembly and receives:
•   A framed certificate
•   A Jack Petchey Young Achiever badge
•   £300 to be spent on a school/club or community project of the recipient’s choice

The young person chooses how their award money is to be spent - this can be spent on additional activities or new equipment (but cannot be spent on core/running costs).
