Following the inspection on 3 and 4 December 2024, Ofsted graded the school 'good' in all five categories under the new framework.

The school’s values of service, dignity, respect, academia, cooperation and excellence are embedded in the life of La Sainte Union. Pupils demonstrate kindness towards each other. Bullying is rare.
Pupils benefit from the wide extra-curricular offer. They develop their interests through the range of clubs available, including football, drama and philosophy. Pupils enhance their leadership skills through a range of roles, for example as school council representatives or as reading mentors.
The school has high expectations of pupils’ achievement. Pupils are keen to do well, and they are ambitious for their futures. Their successes are reflected in the outcomes they achieve at the end of Year 11.
Pupils behave well in lessons and focus on their learning.
Pupils benefit from comprehensive guidance on future careers and pathways.
Pupils are well prepared for life in modern society.

Following the inspection on 2–3 October 2019, Ofsted confirmed that La Sainte Union continued to be a good school.

There is a strong drive for social justice among the school community. There are many examples of pupils supporting others less fortunate than themselves.
Pupils explained clearly what they liked best about the school - their teachers, the large grounds and the diversity of the community.
Leaders expect all pupils to achieve their best. Pupils respond well to their teachers' expectations.
There is a very wide enrichment programme of extra activities for pupils.

Students are happy, confident and feel valued by the school.
Relationships between staff and students are strong; students told inspectors they view the school as a place of safety in which they are well cared for.
The school successfully engages with parents and as a result, parents are supportive of the school’s mission. One parent commented ‘the school embodies everything that I would want my children to know of the Catholic faith and what it means to live and be in line with Catholic values’.
Teachers have high expectations, and they model this frequently in lessons by supporting students to develop their knowledge and understanding.
