GCSE Results

La Sainte Union’s bright women buck the national trend with best ever results, paving the way for bold futures

We are thrilled to announce another year of outstanding GCSE results, reflecting our commitment to nurturing bright women who are ready to shape and lead bold futures.

This year’s GCSE results builds on last year’s success which have once again placed La Sainte Union among the top schools in Camden. Below are some of the highlights:

  • Students achieved an incredible 45 grade 9s, 100 grade 8s and 163 grade 7s
  • 50% of all grades achieved by our students were 9-6.
  • English: 85% 4-9, 72% grades 5-9
  • Maths: 71% 4-9
  • Science: 71% 4-9
  • Modern Foreign Languages: 77% 4-9
  • Religious Education: 72% 4-9
  • Geography and History: 75% 4-9.

This year’s cohort have excelled in so many fields, from the traditional academic disciplines to the creative and entrepreneurial, demonstrating the breadth and depth of their talents. Whilst we are celebrating the unique journeys of each individual student, special mention must be made of those who have achieved an outstanding set of results:

  • Araya has achieved 10 phenomenal GCSE results at the higher grades across all subjects. She will be studying for A Levels in Chemistry, Biology and Spanish at sixth form before applying to Bristol University to study Medicine. The former St Gildas’ Catholic Junior School pupil’s ambition is to be a Cardiologist. Araya said: “The brilliant teachers and supportive staff have helped me achieve my goals and I have made lifelong friends – I will always remember the fantastic school trips, especially the one to Berlin.”
  • Livia has been awarded 10 excellent top grade GCSE results and will be seeking to pursue a career in Business Marketing or Dentistry. The former Oakthorpe Primary School pupil commented: “I would recommend La Sainte Union because the bonds with teachers are very good and the revision techniques have helped me achieve my goals. I have some made some excellent friendships and I am very excited about the future.”
  • Celina is delighted with her superb GCSE results and will now stay on at LaSWAP Sixth Form to study for her A Levels. Her career ambitions are to join the health profession as either a Pharmacist or Radiologist. Celina attended Christ the King Catholic Primary School before joining La Sainte Union. She credits her teachers for her motivation and helping to achieve her goals: “The teachers are really good at their jobs, they motivated us before the exams and have made learning fun. The careers advice has been excellent.”
  • Pheobe has accomplished very good grades in her GCSE exams and will be studying Biology, Chemistry and Criminology at A Level, with the ambition of being a Forensic Scientist in the future. She was inspired many years ago by a workshop she attended and had high praise for her teachers. The former St Mary’s Catholic Primary School pupil said: “The teachers at La Sainte Union are always there to give you extra support and help. I have made great friends along the way and have really enjoyed learning new subjects, especially Biology.”
  • Former St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School pupil, Sen has succeeded in achieving high GCSE grades that will support her ambitions of studying Accountancy at university. She praises the lovely community at La Sainte Union and thanked her family: “I have always been inspired by family members, especially my grandma, to pursue a career in finance and to train to be an Accountant.”
  • Zahra joined La Sainte Union in Year 10 and has successfully passed her GCSE exams with flying colours. She will be going on to sixth form to study A Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Psychology. Zahra has ambitions to study Dentistry at university. She is delighted with her results and has high praise for the school: “The teachers at La Sainte Union are very supportive and have really helped me to achieve my goals – they motivated me and encouraged me to the full extent of my ability.”
  • Fayola has worked hard to achieve good GCSE grades and will be joining LaSWAP Sixth Form to study Health & Social Care as she has high aspirations of studying Psychology at university and being a Psychologist – her drive is to help others. She has the following to say about how La Sainte Union has helped her achieve her goals: “La Sainte Union is a community that helps every student to be the best version of themselves. I would like to thank my teachers for pushing me hard and to developing lots of additional skills that will help me in my future career.”

This success follows closely on the heels of our exceptional A Level results last week, which have opened doors to prestigious universities, including Oxford, King’s College London and the University of Warwick, as well as exciting apprenticeship programmes and career opportunities.

We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements. Their success is not just measured by their remarkable grades but by the growth, confidence and resilience they have developed throughout their journey at La Sainte Union. These results are a reflection of our school’s commitment to empowering young women to excel and achieve beyond their expectations, preparing them for the bold futures they will undoubtedly create.
