Camden Youth Awards 2023

On Friday 17^th March, Camden held its annual Youth Awards Ceremony at the British Museum. Three of our wonderful LSU pupils took part in the event.

Zarin in year 11 was the compère of the whole event, presenting the different awards and introducing speakers. She was extremely professional and confident throughout.

Louise-Anne in year 11 won one of the awards – in addition, she was one of the youth performers invited. She performed a spoken word piece called “Speech Therapy,” movingly reflecting on her journey from a stuttering child to an accomplished public speaker.

Finally, Isabella in year 9 was part of a group of young people who won an award for a worthy social project they set up, creating a community kitchen.
